1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the Torq'd platform, including all messaging features, integrations, and communications sent through the Service. It applies to all users, regardless of subscription tier.
2. General Rules
You must not use Torq'd to:
- Engage in any activity that is unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive.
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse any person.
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any code designed to harm systems or data.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account, or data.
- Impersonate another person, business, or entity.
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Store or transmit content that is obscene, defamatory, or promotes violence or discrimination.
- Interfere with the operation or performance of the Service for other users.
3. Messaging and Communications
Where Torq'd enables SMS, WhatsApp, or email communications through integrations (such as Twilio), the following rules apply:
3.1 Consent
- You must have a legitimate business relationship with the recipient or have obtained their explicit consent before sending messages.
- You must honour opt-out requests immediately. Recipients who request to stop receiving messages must be removed from future communications without delay.
- You must maintain records of consent for audit purposes.
3.2 Content Standards
- Messages must be legitimate customer service, appointment, or transactional communications.
- Messages must accurately identify your business as the sender.
- Messages must not contain misleading, false, or deceptive content.
- Messages must not promote illegal products or services.
- Messages must not contain phishing links or requests for sensitive information.
3.3 Volume and Frequency
- Do not send bulk unsolicited messages (spam).
- Do not send messages at unreasonable hours (before 8am or after 9pm in the recipient's timezone).
- Do not send excessive messages to the same recipient in a short period.
4. Data Entry and Accuracy
- You are responsible for the accuracy of all data entered into Torq'd.
- You must not enter fictitious customer data for the purpose of testing in a production environment (use dedicated test tools where available).
- You must not upload data obtained without lawful authority.
5. Security
- Do not share login credentials between individuals. Each user must have their own account.
- Do not attempt to bypass access controls, authentication, or security measures.
- Report any discovered vulnerabilities to security@torqd.uk rather than exploiting them.
- Do not use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) against the Service without written permission.
6. Third-Party Integrations
Where Torq'd connects to third-party services (Stripe, Twilio, etc.), you must comply with those services' acceptable use policies in addition to this AUP. You are responsible for ensuring your use of integrations complies with all applicable terms.
7. Enforcement
If we determine that you have breached this AUP, we may (at our sole discretion):
- Issue a written warning.
- Temporarily suspend your access to part or all of the Service.
- Permanently terminate your account.
- Remove or disable content that violates this policy.
- Report activity to law enforcement where required or appropriate.
The severity of our response will be proportionate to the breach. Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate termination without prior warning.
8. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP by another user, please report it to abuse@torqd.uk. All reports will be investigated and treated confidentially.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Changes will be posted with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated to account holders via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
